Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important.  I use wordpress.com for my site. Here’s a list of principles they have provided that I abide by.

  • We are thoughtful about the personal information we ask you to provide and the personal information that we collect about you through the operation of our services.
  • We store personal information for only as long as we have a reason to keep it.
  • We aim to make it as simple as possible for you to control that information, or even delete it.
  • We aim for full transparency on how we gather, use, and share your personal information.

Newsletter Information

When you join the Soaring with Dragons Newsletter you are asked to provide an email address. This email address is needed so that I can send you my author newsletter. I will send you notices of upcoming new releases, sales, and opportunities for free and/or discounted books.

To protect your privacy, I use a double opt in. When you provide your email address, Mailerlite will double check to make sure you wish to join my list. Only after you have granted permission will Mailerlite provide the email address to my account with them.

  • To handle my newsletter I use They have their own privacy policy. (Click here to see it: https://www.mailerlite.com/privacy-policy) They may collect info such as your IP address and the date and time you joined my list.
  • To distribute free book content I use Instafreebie and/or Bookfunnel.
  • I do not share or sell your email address and information provided.
  • You may unsubscribe at any time. (There’s a link at the bottom of every newsletter I send.)
  • You may ask to see what information I have saved on Mailerlite.
  • You may ask to be deleted (right to be forgotten) from my mailerlite dashboard.

How I use Instafreebie

I periodically run giveaways using the platform. When you accept a free book from it, you’ll have the option to click that you’d like to join my mailing list. Instafreebie then collects those emails address for me and provides it to Mailerlite.

If you do not opt in for my mailing list, I will not see your email address. You can see Instafreebies Privacy Policy here. https://www.instafreebie.com/about/privacy

Instafreebie does ask for a name and email address.

Bookfunnel

When you accept a free book from Bookfunnel, they will ask for your email address to deliver the book. I do not receive that email address.  You can see their privacy policy here: http://bookfunnel.com/privacy/

Mailerlite

Mailerlite is where I host my newsletter from and it stores the names and email addresses provided to it. They are a secure website.  You can see their privacy policy here: https://www.mailerlite.com/privacy-policy

WordPress.com

My website is hosted by wordpress.com (Automattic.)

You can choose to remain completely anonymous and bookmark me. You can also choose to follow my blog, or comment.

WordPress does use cookies.

I do get to see a map that shows which country visitors are from. (Which is pretty cool.)

I never receive your email address from wordpress.

You can view their privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/
